October Fashion Show.

Out of 8 models for the fashion show in Oct, 5 of them were new. These 5 girls have never done this before, and you could not tell. THEY DID GREAT! Back in the dressing room I was by myself, and this got very overwhelming at times. The new models were a little slow (they still did great). The experienced models need very little help changing, but without that experience of knowing how much time you have to change the new girls got a little behind. I want to take this time to give a huge THANK YOU to Amy and Shannon from Amber Rose for stepping in and helping me with the girls in the dressing room. Thank you to all my models, and to all that helped from Amber Rose.

Reviews and Testimonial Topics

As we try our hardest and go way out of our way at times, sometimes there is absolutely no way to make some customers happy. Some of the topics we will explain, and do our best to correct anything we possibly can.

*it is very important to make an appointment whenever you need any kind of fitting. Tanya is the only person at Tanya's that does any dress fittings. Tanya is the only person doing any and all sewing at Tanya's. Whenever said or printed that another staff member did any kind of fitting, pinning, or marking of any kind is false information. It is out of our control if you show up for a fitting and Tanya is not there to assist you. Walk ins are welcome but schedule appointments will get full attention. We are not saying if you are a walk in you will be ignored, we are just clearly bringing it to your attention that the scheduled appointments come first. Scheduled appointments also let us have the proper staff available to assist everyone.

*Pins still in hem does not mean there was not any work done on the hem. Tanya does not cut off the excess until the Bride tries the dress on after the first stage of the hem. The pins are pinning the uncut fabric up so the Bride can ok the length. This is done as a precaution. In some cases the Bride has changed her mind on her shoes, and therefore the length needs adjusted. This is also explained to the Bride at her first fitting. A hem that has been cut cannot be lengthened.

*Clearance dresses or garbage? Our clearance dresses are discontinued styles, that cannot be reordered. They are not garbage and we do not treat clearance customers any different. These dresses are marked down to a fraction of the wholesale price. They are what they are, if theres dirt spots or missing beads it is not the responsibility of Tanya's. Due to customers demands and claims on these dresses, Tanya's no longer does any alterations or storing of theses dresses. They are first come first serve, no holds, no layaways, no returns.

*Timing of alteration completion, is normally done in order of wedding dates. This does not go by how much your dress costs. If you would like your alterations done more than 2 weeks prior to your wedding you need to make that request at the time of purchase. Any weight change or any other changes after the alterations are done more than 2 weeks in advance, Tanya's is not responsible to re-alter. Due to complaints we have no choice but to change some of our policies. Our policy states all clearance dresses must be removed at time of purchase. We have bent that rule in the past due to customers saying they have no place to store it. For a customer to plea with us to store their dress but at the same time complain and slander us because their alterations were not done until the week of there wedding, has given us no choice but NOT to bend the rules anymore.

*Oder time for dresses is anywhere between 4 and 15 weeks. At the time of purchase we let you know an approximate ship date. When a dress is scheduled to come in 12 weeks from order time, weight can change. Tanya does everything she can to make everything work out perfect. When someone gains weight during that time it is out of our control. All dresses are special orders, so please don't expect us to order a new dress. We still have to buy the original dress. THE VENDORS DO NOT TAKE RETURNS, unless the dress is damaged when received in the store.

*Tuxedo measurements taken outside of Tanya's is not the responsibility of Tanya's. We make it very clear at purchase time that anyone being measured else where is their responsibility for any replacement charges. We had a complaint online from an out of town wedding (Tanya's did not measure any of them) very unhappy because none of their tuxes fit and we switched pieces around to get some to fit. The reason for this was to save the customers replacement charges. Instead of having to replace all 8 pieces we only had to replace 4. That was us helping the customer not fighting them. Remember we didn't fit them.

*We have gotten a lot of praise on our customer service. When someone complains of our customer service it is taken seriously. If anyone ever has issues with our customer service (or anywhere else) it should be brought up with management not slandered online. This only makes the complaining customer look bad especially when they claim to be in customer service.

*Please do not slander any other business on any of our listings (or us on theirs). When you make a complaint on a certain business' listing and then compliment a competitor in the same listing, only makes the competitor look bad. My favorite review is a customer (so they say) wrote about the bad experience they had at our store but raved (in the same review) about a competitor. If you look up the competitors listing, there isn't a review there. You would think if they had such a good experience at the other store, they would have left them know.

*Stock pieces are samples (except prom dresses). Our samples are for trying on sizes and styles. Our sample pieces are tried on multiple times and also used for fashion shows. You may see dirt, make-up, small tears, snags, and missing beads. THEY ARE SAMPLES. If you don't have time to order a dress you may buy a sample at a discounted price. We apologize for bridesmaids sizing. They are also samples and they are sent by the vendor. We do not chose the sizes.

If you or anyone else would be interested in this opportunity keep checking the EVENTS page for dates and times.

If a Company or Business relies on their models to sell their products, they really need to make sure they are capable of doing the job. Tanya's group of models haven proven they are more than capable of doing just that. I had so many compliments on my shows this year, it is unbelievable. Not only is it important to have these great models, it is also very important to have an awesome Behind The Scenes group. I was not in the dressing room for the last Fashion Show. One of my models brought it to my attention that every time they went in the room to change, there was someone waiting for them with their next dress. I could not put on such wonderful shows without all of these important people. Everyone involved with Tanya's Fashion Shows are AWESOME!!!!! Thank You!!!
